Wilson Pond Cabin

Sleeps: 10+ Bedrooms: 2 Bathrooms: 1

A large cabin nestled among the trees with an elevated private view of the lake. The cabin has WI-FI for streaming (no local channels) and a DVD player, and we have a large library of DVDs available for guests to borrow. It has a spacious kitchen and living room. The kitchen is fully stocked with all the essentials, Keurig and drip coffee maker, microwave, toaster, etc. We supply 1 roll of paper towels, dish soap, and kitchen towels, all utensils, dinnerware and pots and pans. Bedroom 1 has a queen-size bed and a twin-size bed (bunk style). Bedroom 2 has is on the second floor and has a king-size bed and a twin-size bed. There is room for 2 roll outs if needed for additional sleeping opportunities. All bedding is supplied for your comfort. The living room has 2 large sofas, one is a queen sleeper and the other can sleep one person very comfortably. The bathroom is on the 2nd floor and has a walk-in shower. We supply 1 full set of plush towels for each guest, bath soap, shampoo/conditioner, toilet tissue, and blow dryer. There is a large screened in the porch at the back of the cabin that is very private and great to enjoy a bug free afternoon and evening. There is a large front porch with a swing, great for relaxing. Outside there is a private area with a fire pit, gas grill, and Adirondacks to enjoy a great campfire. There is a lovely short path that takes you to the lake and dock for your enjoyment. Our guests also enjoy complimentary use of canoes, kayaks, and paddleboards on Wilson Pond. 

We are conveniently located directly on ATV and snowmobile trails, and just minutes to skiing at Big Moose Mountain, cross country skiing, hiking, biking , fishing on multiple lakes and ponds, and everything the region has to offer.

Moosehead Lake Cabin

Lake view cabin, just steps to the lake and dock for use to swim or just enjoy the sights and sounds of the lake. Enjoy a bug free afternoon or evening in the screened in porch relaxing on the porch swing. WI-FI is supplied for streaming services (no local channels) and has a DVD player. We offer a large library of DVDs for our guests to borrow. The cabin has 2 bedrooms, one with a queen size bed and bedroom two has a queen-size bed and full-size bed (bunk style) and a twin bed.  We supply all bedding for your comfort.  The living room has a queen sleeper sofa for additional sleeping accommodations, and a gas fireplace.  The kitchen is fully stocked with dinnerware, cookware, utensils, drip coffee maker (Keurig upon request), toaster, microwave. We supply dish soap, kitchen towels, and 1 roll of paper towels. The bathroom has a walk-in shower, and we supply 1 full set of plush towels, soap and shampoo/conditioner per guest, bath tissue, and blow dryer. The cabin has a large private back yard with a fire pit, gas grill, picnic table, and Adirondack chairs. Our guests enjoy the complimentary use of canoes, kayaks and paddleboards on Wilson Pond.

Hedgehog Pond Cabin

This lake view cabin is just steps from the lake and private dock. There is a screened-in porch with a porch swing to enjoy a lazy afternoon or lovely evening listening to the loons. This is our smallest cabin; the living room and kitchen are cozy. 1 bedroom has a full-size bed and Bedroom 2 has a full-size bed and a twin bed (bunk style).   We supply all bedding for your comfort.  WI-FI is supplied for streaming services (no local channels) and a DVD player. We offer a large library of DVDs for our guests to borrow. The kitchen is stocked with all the essentials, cookware, dinnerware, utensils, toaster, microwave, drip coffee maker (Keurig on request), paper towels, dish soap, and kitchen towels. The bathroom has a walk-in shower, and we supply 1 full set of plush towels for each guest as well as soap and blow dryer. Outside there is a firepit, gas grill, picnic table and Adirondack chairs. Our guests enjoy complimentary use of canoes, kayaks, and paddleboards on Wilson Pond.

Policies

Rates and Amenities

  • Prime Season: February, July, August, Mid-September 
  • Peak Season: January, May, June, Mid-September & October
  • Off Peak:   March, April, November, December
  • Complementary:  All of our cabins have WI-FI (streaming only—no local channels) TV & DVD player.  Large DVD library for guests to borrow.  Fully stocked kitchens with pot and pans, utensils, toaster, microwave, drip coffee maker (Keurig upon request), starter set up of creamer and sugar, dish soap, scrub pad,  and paper towels.  We offer complementary toiletries for your stay. 1 bath towel, 1 hand towel, and 1 wash cloth per guest.  All linens are included.  **none of the supplied towels, blankets, bedding are allowed outside.  There is a blanket on the porch of each cabin that can be used outside.    Please ensure they are not damaged. **Each cabin has a private outside space with a dock (except Crows Nest), gas grill, picnic table, Adirondack chairs, and firepit.  Wood is available for purchase at a very reasonable rate  **we do not allow outside wood on the property to help prevent the spread of disease**.  Our guests have complementary use of our canoes, kayaks and paddle boards on Wilson Pond (subject to availability)
  • Rental Boats:  we offer Pontoon boats, fishing boats for rent.  Our guests enjoy a discounted rental rate.

Rental Policies

  • During the months of July and August, a 7 night minimum (Saturday to Saturday) is required. All other seasons require a 2 night minimum.  For exceptions or shorter stays please contact us directly for availability.
  • The remaining balance of the rental is due 14 days prior to reservation.  NO REFUNDS IF CANCELLATION IS 14 DAYS OR LESS FROM DATE OF RESERVATION.
  • No refunds for early departure.
  • A cc must be on file for security deposit required at check-in.
  • A credit card must be on file for any damage the security deposit does not cover.
  1. Check In Time: Guests may check in no earlier than 4 pm. Cleanliness and cabin presentation is important to us, as well as each guest. We cannot guarantee that your cabin will be clean and ready before 4 pm.    
  2. Check Out Time: Guests must check out no later than 10 am. Any guest extending their stay beyond 10 am will be charged $50 per hour after 10 am. Check in and out times are very important to ensure you and other guests can have a clean, presentable cabin.
  3. Occupancy Limits: There should be no additional guests beyond the quantity you have booked. If you wish to have additional guests visit during the day, we ask that they check in at the office.
  4. Cancellation Policy: 50% of your stay is due at the time of booking.  The remaining 50% will be due 14 days before your stay and will be automatically billed to the card on file. You can receive a full refund, less 10% if you cancel any time up to 30 days prior to your reservation.  If you cancel within 14 days from your reservation, you are responsible for the full balance of your reservation and  no part of your stay will be refunded.
  5. Safety: Each cabin will be outfitted with smoke detectors, carbon monoxide detectors, fire extinguishers, and a first aid kit. The safety of you and your family is important to us, but it is also your responsibility. Understand inherent shoreline dangers. Parents must not leave children unattended at any time. There is no lifeguard on duty. If you cannot swim, do not enter the water. If you have children that cannot swim, please monitor them closely, and provide them with proper PFDs. PFDs (Life jackets) are required to be worn at all times in rental canoes/kayaks.  We are fortunate to enjoy such a beautiful lake, but the ledge and rocks that make up our lakebed are EXTREMELY slippery.  Signs are posted as reminders, but guests are responsible for keeping family and friends off the rocks.
  6. Smoking: No Smoking within 10’ of any building (this includes on the screened porches and patios). Guests found smoking within any structure on any Wilson Pond Cabins property will be fined $300 for each occurrence.  Please extinguish all smoking material and place in the fire pit.  DO NOT PLACE ANY WARM SMOKING MATERIAL IN THE TRASH.
  7. Quiet Hours: 10:00 pm to 8:00 am. Guests are welcome to spend time outside through the night or rise as early as they wish. We ask that all guests and visitors be respectful and keep conversations and music to a level for your enjoyment but not interfering with other guests enjoyment.  Early risers must be respectful of neighboring guests who may still be sleeping. Guests that cannot accommodate this policy will be escorted off the premises and will not be refunded.
  8. Property Damage: At the end of your stay, the cabins should look like they did when you arrived. Any notable damage left by you or your guests will be charged to you; the rate will be sufficient to cover the cost of repairs or additional cleaning, plus any additional lost revenue as a result of the time lost during repair. Please be considerate.
  9. Cabin Property: Cabin property will be inventoried before and after each stay. Any missing or damaged items will be charged accordingly.  All towels and linens supplied by Wilson Pond Cabins MAY NOT be taken outside or used for any purpose outside the cabin or other than their intended use.  If there is an accident and something is broken, please let us know.  We expect an accident or two but have had items removed and damaged in the past.  
  10. Sundries: Fresh linens and bedding will be provided for your stay and will be cleaned at the end of your stay. If your stay extends beyond 1 week, we can coordinate a linen change at the end of each week. Two rolls of toilet paper, one roll of paper towels, one travel size soap will be included.  If you should require more than what is provided, it is your responsibility to provide for yourself. Please plan and prepare for your stay accordingly.  The store is 10 minutes from the cabins, as well as multiple supermarkets along your drive.
  11. Personal Property: Wilson Pond Cabins is not responsible for any lost, damaged, or stolen personal property.
  12. Wilson Pond Cabins is not responsible for any harm brought to you or other guests brought on by your actions or inactions.
  13. Other Guests: Please respect the space of other guests. Be considerate of their experience, families, children, etc.

End of Stay Clean Up Notes and Checklist

In order for our staff to ensure guests have an optimal stay, we require your assistance in cottage cleanliness. Check out is at 10 am. Please allow yourself time to complete the following checklist at the end of your stay.

  1. Bedding: Please remove used sheets and pillow cases and leave them on the floor in the bedroom.  **please do not place any used linens on any furniture**
  2. Towels: Pile all used towels on the bathroom floor.
  3. Trash and Returnables: Bag up all trash in one bag, bag up all returnables in another. There are 2 spots on property for trash and returnables.  We appreciate your help in keeping trash secured in the bins.  If for some reason the bins are full, please leave on your porch.
  4. Kitchen: Please wash all of your dishes. You may leave them in the sink or drying rack to dry.  If you have a mess from something you have cooked, we ask that you leave the kitchen in the condition you found it.
  5. Please turn heat down to 55  in winter months and leave cabinet under sinks and bathroom door open.  Please turn heat off May through October.   Please do not leave lights or any appliances on.  
  6. Please leave keys on the kitchen table upon leaving the cabin.
